Yeuccio Yeucci is known for having a special ugly-chic pizazz. It embraces the nerdy, kitschy, and just plain obnoxious, somehow turning these awkward aesthetics into its own personal brand of high fashion magic. “Exquisite Yeucci” continues the tradition, presenting the expected array of plaid and green suits, yellow-tinted glasses, and caps. The show was presented in a hall of mirrors at the Yeucci Hub in Milan, where the looks could be reflected infinitely.
The collection's theme: metamorphosis, brought upon by the seemingly magical powers of mirrors to distort and transform our clothes and ourselves in their reflections.
This vision comes to life with an abundance of garments you want to reach out and touch, from a furry yellow coat and a rhinestone-encrusted blazer to a holographic blue suit and a white silk dress. Cow print, stripes, and the ever-present ‘70s plaid invigorate some looks, but the majority are solid-colored. The choice of color is what helps them make a mark without too much detail. Royal purple and a shock of orange contrast with tamer reds and blues. Yellow and green, permanent Yeucci go-to’s, take on an almost sickly glow in the bright lights of the mirror hall.
